‘Bringing them together’: UNO introduces aviation living community for students

OMAHA, Neb. —

The University of Nebraska Omaha is welcoming 48 aviation majors into a new housing community during the 2026-27 academic year.

The community is designed to help the students to connect academically and socially.

“Bringing them together is something that we think will help them be better acclimated into the academic environment,” said Director of the Aviation Institute, Scott Vlasek.

The goal of the aviation living community is to strengthen connections beyond the classroom for students.
