The 6-foot-tall sculpture that was built in 2004 wears an angry expression along with a university sweater.Black Angel StatueLocated near N 6th Street and Military Avenue in Council Bluffs, Ruth Anne Dodge’s memorial now takes on the name the “Black Angel.” It’s said she was visited by an angel in her dreams multiple times before her death, which then sparked the legend that if the Black Angel visits you, you will die. Another legend is that if you look in the statue’s eyes, you will meet your demise.Boys Town’s Largest Ball of StampsThe ball is on display at the Boys Town Visitors Center, 13603 Flanagan Blvd. It is 32 inches in diameter, weighs about 600 pounds, and has an estimated 4.6 million stamps on it.Chef BoyardeeA bronze life-sized statue of the famous chef sits along ConAgra Drive in downtown Omaha. The six-foot-tall man offers a great photo-op for those who love SpaghettiOs or Beefaroni alike. Hollywood Candy”Omaha’s one-of-a-kind candy and variety store” offers everything from retro candy to vinyl records. Customers can check out the wall of jellybeans or get some homemade candies, including chocolate-covered bacon. Once they’ve had their fill of sweet treats, they can stop in the Hollywood Diner for malts, shakes, hot dogs, and more. From there, they can take a stroll on the Walk of Fame featuring names like Warren Buffett, Ariana Grande, and Alton Brown. The stars will lead guests to the extensive vinyl collection where they can find some of the greatest artists. The Hollywood Theater can be rented out for parties, offering a nostalgic experience, and best of all Mike and Sully from “Monsters Inc.” sit outside the theater, awaiting their pictures to be taken. Pershing Drive and Ponca Road in Omaha, the park has multiple urban legends that surround its history. It’s said to be where satanic ritual murders have taken place. Graffiti has helped keep that legend alive. Some say the spirits of those who were lynched in the park still roam the area. All the legends are what give this Omaha park its reputation for everything spooky.Infield at the ZooThe former location of Rosenblatt Stadium has been mostly turned into parking for Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, but there is a memorial for the former site of the College World Series. The memorial features a miniature ballfield, some of Rosenblatt’s seats as well as plagues marking locations like the left field foul pole and more.Japanese Balloon Bomb Site In the popular Dundee neighborhood sits a plaque that commemorates the bombing of the area in 1945. A Japanese incendiary balloon exploded over the neighborhood which was noteworthy because most of the devices didn’t make it that far inland.Joslyn CastleLocated at 39th and Davenport streets in Omaha, the four-story, 35-room mansion is said to be haunted by the homeowners and their adopted daughter. Multiple paranormal investigations have occurred on the castle’s grounds. There have been spectral voices heard by employees, sightings of a woman in a white dress on the main staircase, and a voice yelling “get out” among a series of other odd events.Kenefick ParkTwo giant locomotives welcome visitors to Omaha along Interstate 80. The trains featured are the Centennial No. 6900, which is the largest and most powerful diesel-electric train ever made, and Big Boy No. 4023, which is the world’s largest steam locomotive. Museum of the ShadowsLocated in Omaha at 1110 Douglas St., the museum is considered “one of the most haunted museums in the world!” Home to more than 5,000 “verified” haunted artifacts, it’s been featured on the Travel Channel, Discovery+ and Prime Video. Go on a self-guided tour, meet museum curator Nate Raterman or attempt the sit challenge — 10 minutes alone in complete darkness, surrounded by haunted objects with only a flashlight if you need to tap out. O! DudeA 25-foot-tall sculpture of a man sits on top of a parking garage in downtown Omaha. The man can be seen wearing a red baseball cap with an “O!” on it, a white t-shirt, and matching red shorts. He can be seen from the northside of Farnam Street near the 20th Street intersection. Omar Bridge Troll Underneath the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge, Omar the Bridge Troll lives. The big blue guy traveled all over the city, going on many adventures before making his home underneath the bridge. Guests can watch fun videos featuring Omar that can be found on the bridge, and they can even turn themselves into Omar using a special filter on Snapchat.Click here to meet OMAR the Troll.Performance arts sculpturesThe statues sit outside of the CHI Health Center near 10th and Cass streets. They feature everything from a man on stilts to a man playing the saxophone. They even light up at night, making it a good time to see them at any time day or night.Pioneer Courage ParkSpread out through parts of downtown Omaha, there are sculptures of wild animals like buffalo, cranes, and horses to pioneers and covered wagons. The memorial honors those who settled in Nebraska. Visitors can take photos with the sculptures and walk along with the travelers throughout the downtown area.Sapp Bros water towerDeemed “The World’s Largest Pot of Coffee,” the water tower overlooking the Sapp Bros. truck stop off I-80 exit 440 on the northwestern side. Visitors are encouraged to fill up their tanks and grab a bite to eat. The truck stop has a few dining options with Coffee Kettle Cafe, Burrito Bros., a deli and food bar, and Lucille’s Famous Fried Chicken.Spinning yellow manThe mascot of the Russell Speeder’s Car Wash can be seen from a long ways away. The man dressed in all yellow stands tall, waving to people as they drive by 112th Street and West Center Road.Squirrel Cage JailThe jail was built with a three-story revolving cell block. It was the only one built that large. The design allowed jailers to control inmates without coming into contact with them. The jail was built in 1885 and cost about $30,000. There are rumors of paranormal occurrences at the jail, and it has since been turned into a museum.     President Gerald R. Ford’s Birth Site and Gardens

    A memorial for the 38th president of the United States who was born in Omaha sits at 3212 Woolworth Ave. Beautiful gardens and information pictures and kiosks provide the space with the essence of the former president.

    SAC Museum

    The Space and Air Command & Aerospace Museum features massive planes inside and outside the building. Other exhibits include Women in Aerospace, Tuskegee Airmen, Remember the Fallen, and more.

      Vietnam Memorial

      The memorial is dedicated to honoring Nebraskans who lost their life during the Vietnam War. It includes sculptures, statues, and a helicopter. The memorial is free and open to the public from sunrise to sunset. It is located at 11695 S 108th St. in Papillion.

      Novelty attractions

      Ak-Sar-Ben Racehorse

      A monument sits on the corner of 67th and Center streets that honors a thoroughbred racehorse named Omaha. The horse was known for winning the Triple Crown in 1935 before he retired to Nebraska City. He died in 1959 and was buried on the Ak-Sar-Ben racetrack.

      Alpine Inn

      Visitors can dine while raccoons scavenge. A popular restaurant known for its fried chicken feeds leftovers to raccoons, so guests can sit next to the wall of windows and watch the furry little guys chow down.

      Angry Bluejay

      A bronze statue of Creighton’s legendary Bluejay mascot sits in front of Morrison Stadium near 19th Street and Florence Boulevard. The 6-foot-tall sculpture that was built in 2004 wears an angry expression along with a university sweater.

      Black Angel Statue

      Located near N 6th Street and Military Avenue in Council Bluffs, Ruth Anne Dodge’s memorial now takes on the name the “Black Angel.” It’s said she was visited by an angel in her dreams multiple times before her death, which then sparked the legend that if the Black Angel visits you, you will die. Another legend is that if you look in the statue’s eyes, you will meet your demise.

      Boys Town’s Largest Ball of Stamps

      The ball is on display at the Boys Town Visitors Center, 13603 Flanagan Blvd. It is 32 inches in diameter, weighs about 600 pounds, and has an estimated 4.6 million stamps on it.

      Chef Boyardee

      A bronze life-sized statue of the famous chef sits along ConAgra Drive in downtown Omaha. The six-foot-tall man offers a great photo-op for those who love SpaghettiOs or Beefaroni alike.

      Hollywood Candy

      “Omaha’s one-of-a-kind candy and variety store” offers everything from retro candy to vinyl records. Customers can check out the wall of jellybeans or get some homemade candies, including chocolate-covered bacon. Once they’ve had their fill of sweet treats, they can stop in the Hollywood Diner for malts, shakes, hot dogs, and more. From there, they can take a stroll on the Walk of Fame featuring names like Warren Buffett, Ariana Grande, and Alton Brown. The stars will lead guests to the extensive vinyl collection where they can find some of the greatest artists. The Hollywood Theater can be rented out for parties, offering a nostalgic experience, and best of all Mike and Sully from “Monsters Inc.” sit outside the theater, awaiting their pictures to be taken. On your way past the theater, guests will run into the Pinball & Arcade which features over 60 machines that are waiting to be played.

      Located in downtown Omaha at 12th and Jackson streets, the store is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

      Hummel Park

      Located near John J. Pershing Drive and Ponca Road in Omaha, the park has multiple urban legends that surround its history. It’s said to be where satanic ritual murders have taken place. Graffiti has helped keep that legend alive. Some say the spirits of those who were lynched in the park still roam the area. All the legends are what give this Omaha park its reputation for everything spooky.

      Infield at the Zoo

      The former location of Rosenblatt Stadium has been mostly turned into parking for Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, but there is a memorial for the former site of the College World Series. The memorial features a miniature ballfield, some of Rosenblatt’s seats as well as plagues marking locations like the left field foul pole and more.

      Japanese Balloon Bomb Site

      In the popular Dundee neighborhood sits a plaque that commemorates the bombing of the area in 1945. A Japanese incendiary balloon exploded over the neighborhood which was noteworthy because most of the devices didn’t make it that far inland.

      Joslyn Castle

      Located at 39th and Davenport streets in Omaha, the four-story, 35-room mansion is said to be haunted by the homeowners and their adopted daughter. Multiple paranormal investigations have occurred on the castle’s grounds. There have been spectral voices heard by employees, sightings of a woman in a white dress on the main staircase, and a voice yelling “get out” among a series of other odd events.

      Kenefick Park

      Two giant locomotives welcome visitors to Omaha along Interstate 80. The trains featured are the Centennial No. 6900, which is the largest and most powerful diesel-electric train ever made, and Big Boy No. 4023, which is the world’s largest steam locomotive. Visitors are welcome to park at Lauritzen Gardens and take the path to see the trains up close and personal.

      Museum of the Shadows

      Located in Omaha at 1110 Douglas St., the museum is considered “one of the most haunted museums in the world!” Home to more than 5,000 “verified” haunted artifacts, it’s been featured on the Travel Channel, Discovery+ and Prime Video. Go on a self-guided tour, meet museum curator Nate Raterman or attempt the sit challenge — 10 minutes alone in complete darkness, surrounded by haunted objects with only a flashlight if you need to tap out.

      O! Dude

      A 25-foot-tall sculpture of a man sits on top of a parking garage in downtown Omaha. The man can be seen wearing a red baseball cap with an “O!” on it, a white t-shirt, and matching red shorts. He can be seen from the northside of Farnam Street near the 20th Street intersection.

      Omar Bridge Troll

      Underneath the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge, Omar the Bridge Troll lives. The big blue guy traveled all over the city, going on many adventures before making his home underneath the bridge. Guests can watch fun videos featuring Omar that can be found on the bridge, and they can even turn themselves into Omar using a special filter on Snapchat.

      CHI Health Center Omaha march madness

      Performance arts sculptures

      The statues sit outside of the CHI Health Center near 10th and Cass streets. They feature everything from a man on stilts to a man playing the saxophone. They even light up at night, making it a good time to see them at any time day or night.

      Pioneer Courage Park

      Spread out through parts of downtown Omaha, there are sculptures of wild animals like buffalo, cranes, and horses to pioneers and covered wagons. The memorial honors those who settled in Nebraska. Visitors can take photos with the sculptures and walk along with the travelers throughout the downtown area.

      Sapp Bros water tower

      Deemed “The World’s Largest Pot of Coffee,” the water tower overlooking the Sapp Bros. truck stop off I-80 exit 440 on the northwestern side. Visitors are encouraged to fill up their tanks and grab a bite to eat. The truck stop has a few dining options with Coffee Kettle Cafe, Burrito Bros., a deli and food bar, and Lucille’s Famous Fried Chicken.

      Spinning yellow man

      The mascot of the Russell Speeder’s Car Wash can be seen from a long ways away. The man dressed in all yellow stands tall, waving to people as they drive by 112th Street and West Center Road.

      Squirrel Cage Jail

      The jail was built with a three-story revolving cell block. It was the only one built that large. The design allowed jailers to control inmates without coming into contact with them. The jail was built in 1885 and cost about $30,000. There are rumors of paranormal occurrences at the jail, and it has since been turned into a museum.

      It’s open Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The address is 226 Pearl St. in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

      Located in a residential neighborhood, the sculpture offers a larger-than-life fork that’s twirling pasta. The 15-foot-tall utensil sits near 7th and Pierce streets in Omaha’s Little Italy.

      Parking

      There are about 4,000 on-street parking stalls available in the downtown area. The ones closer to the stadium will have higher event rates, but the rest will have their regular rates.

      Visitors can reserve parking in the 13th and Capitol streets parking garage for $15 per day if you don’t have a reservation and $10 a day with a reservation.

      Three surface lots will be available starting at 3 p.m. every day.

      The surface lots between 16th and 17th streets on Mike Fahey will also have a $15 a day fee.

      Public transportation

      The ORBT line takes visitors from the Westroads Mall to downtown. It runs approximately every 10 minutes for most of the day, and it is $1.25 per ride.

      Lime Scooters are available 24 hours a day, and they can be dropped off at the scooter corral at 14th and Mike Fahey streets.

      Heartland Bike Share allows visitors to rent bicycles. There will be a bike corral for the bikes on Mike Fahey Street between 14th and 15th streets.

      Clear bag policy

      Clear, uncolored plastic tote bags or a gallon plastic freezer bag will be allowed.

      Clutches or purses that are 4.5 inches tall by 6.5 inches long will be allowed after a security check.

      Cash-free stadium

      Charles Schwab Field accepts all mobile payments, credit, and debit cards at the box office, concession stands, merchandise stands, and at the bars.

      There are several cash-2-card machines in the stadium that are like a reverse ATM.

      There are no fees for using the machines.

      • No alcohol or open containers
      • Parking is first come first serve
      • Driveways must remain clear
      • Overnight parking is not allowed
      • Trash containers and charcoal dump sites will be provided
      • No selling items of any kind

      ADA information

      Accessible parking is on a first come, first serve basis.

      Guest drop-off and pick-up is along 12th and Mike Fahey streets near Gate #2

      Elevators are located outside of Gate #2 and also in the suite/club entrance along 13th Street.

      Service animals are welcome, but the animal cannot sit in the aisle.

      Those with service animals must notify ticket seller to find accommodations.

      Wheelchair escorts are available upon request. They work on a first come, first serve basis.
