Rescue crews said that they arrived within eight minutes, but front gate security was not notified of what happened.

After six minutes, everyone was able to figure out where the call was coming from on-site, leading the worker to be sent to the hospital via helicopter.

In a statement, Google said the technician is in stable condition.

“A technician was injured yesterday while performing repairs on a material lift at our Council Bluffs site. The individual is in stable condition, and our thoughts are with them for a swift and full recovery. The safety of all workers and contractors on our sites is our top priority. We are in close contact with our contractor partners, who are thoroughly investigating this incident in cooperation with local authorities,” Google said in a statement.
