Council Bluffs Mayor Jill Shudak hosted her first town hall where she addressed citizens and shared updates on city initiatives. Shudak was joined by other city officials, on Saturday morning at Wilson Middle School. They discussed updates on the mayor’s 311 resident reporting tool and provided project updates for the River’s Edge and East Manawa housing developments. She also introduced new plans for Big Lake Park and unveiled a long-term city plan. “So last year, there was a lot of conversations about, are we, you know, East Omaha? Are we in a smaller part of Omaha or not? We all understand that. And so we want to work together to grow Council Bluffs strategically and to find our own vision as far as how we should be marketing ourselves,” Shudak said.
