OMAHA, Neb. —

A cyclist is in critical condition after a crash Wednesday night in Lincoln.

Police said it happened around 9:30 p.m. near South 20th and A streets.

According to the police report, the driver told officers she had a green light and was traveling about 30 to 35 miles per hour when the cyclist pulled into her path.

A witness said the cyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed, had no lights and failed to stop at a stop sign before turning onto a street.

Police said that the rider is in critical condition due to a brain bleed.

The crash remains under investigation.
