THE DOUGLAS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS THE SUSPECT IN THE DEADLY DEPUTY-INVOLVED SHOOTING IS 26 YEAR OLD JAQUAN MARION. MARION DIED IN A GUNFIRE EXCHANGE THAT ALSO INJURED A DEPUTY FRIDAY AFTERNOON. ACCORDING TO THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE, SHERIFF AARON HANSON SAYS MARION WAS WANTED FOR VIOLATING HIS PAROLE. THE INJURED DEPUTY WAS SHOT IN THE LEG AND TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. AS OF YESTERDAY EVENING, THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS THEIR CONDITION WAS STABLE. OMAHA, Neb. —

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office revealed the name of the man deputies attempted to arrest, before a “gun battle” broke out on Friday afternoon.

Twenty-six-year-old Jaquan Marion was killed in the exchange of gunfire that also injured a Douglas County Deputy.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has not yet revealed the deputy’s identity, nor have they provided an update to his condition since Friday afternoon’s shooting.
