Muddy Paws Dog Wash fundraiser supports rescue animals in Council Bluffs
Dogs across the metro got cleaned up and cooled off Sunday during Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue’s annual Dog Wash fundraiser in Council Bluffs.

Dogs across the metro got cleaned up and cooled off Sunday during Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue’s annual Dog Wash fundraiser in Council Bluffs.
The event, held at Full Fledged Brewing Company, featured dog-washing stations, free nail trims, wet-dog photos, raffle items, food and a foam party for pups. The first 75 dogs washed also received complimentary bandanas.

Organizers said it was the fourth time Muddy Paws hosted the fundraiser. All proceeds support the rescue’s animal-care and adoption programs.
“We’ve got over 100 animals in foster right now, between cats, dogs, puppies and kittens and little critters,” Terri Gach-Mils said, a Muddy Paws representative. “Events like this allow us to continue our lifesaving programs.”
Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue said it plans to bring back the annual Dog Wash fundraiser next year.
