Dolly Parton cancels Las Vegas shows, sharing health update
Hey, Natalie, uh, bring your camera over here. I want to say something. Well, today is October 8th, and obviously I’m here doing some commercials for the Grand Ole Opry, which is why I’m dressed kind of like *** country western girl. But before I got started, I wanted to say, I know lately, uh, everybody thinks that I am sicker than I am. Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here. Anyway, I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease, those of you that seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate, and I appreciate your prayers because I’m *** person of faith. I can always use the prayers for anything and everything, but I want you to know that I’m OK. I’ve got some problems as I mentioned. Back when my husband Carl was very sick, that was for *** long time and then when he passed I didn’t take care of myself so I let *** lot of things go that I should have been taken care of. So anyway, when I got around to it, the doctor said we need to take care of this, we need to take care of that, nothing major but. I did have to cancel some things so I could be closer to home, closer to Vanderbilt, you know, where I’m kind of having *** few treatments here and there, but I wanted you to know that I’m not dying. Did you see that those that AI picture of Reba and me? Oh Lordy, I mean they had Reba at my deathbed and we both looked like we need to be buried, but. But then I thought, oh my lord, but if, if I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my deathbed. She would not come visit me earlier, but anyway, uh, there’s just *** lot of rumors flying around, but I figured if you heard it from me, you’d know that I was OK. So anyhow, that’s what I wanted to say, and I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God is through with me and I ain’t done working. So I love you for caring and keep praying for me.

Dolly Parton cancels Las Vegas shows, sharing health update
Dolly Parton has canceled her Las Vegas residency shows amid an ongoing health battle. Parton posted a video to her social media profiles on Monday, announcing that she was going to have to cancel her Las Vegas residency shows as she continues to improve during her health struggles. “Well, hey there, it’s Dolly, and I am here to give you an update on a few things going on in my life,” Parton said in her post. “First, it’s concerning my health, and I have some good news and a little bad news. But the good news is, I’m responding really well to meds and treatments, and I’m improving every day. Now, the bad news is, it’s gonna take me a little while before I’m up to stage-performance level, because some of the meds and treatments make me a little bit swimmy-headed, as my grandma used to say.”She continued, “And of course, I can’t be dizzy carrying around banjos, guitars and such on five-inch heels. And you know that I’m going to be wearing them. Not to mention, all those heavy rhinestone outfits, the big hair, my big… uh, personality. Lord, those — that would make anybody swimmy-headed.”Parton originally rescheduled her Las Vegas shows in September 2025 to September 2026, citing various “health challenges.” Then, in October 2025, Parton released a video talking about her health struggles and the loss of her husband, Carl Dean, to assure her fans she was okay.
