Douglas County voters to get early voting postcards for 2026 gubernatorial election

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. —

Early voting applications for the 2026 statewide gubernatorial general election will be mailed to voters in late July. Voter cards should be available in early August. Registered voters will also be included on the Douglas County Early Voting Request List.

The postcard-size mail pieces are printed on green cardstock. Voters must provide ID information, sign the application and return it to the Election Commission to receive a mail ballot. They will not be sent to voters who received the postcard or who requested a mail ballot for previous elections. Applications can be returned through the official ballot drop box, postal mail, email, or fax.

“Using the card helps our office process applications for by-mail ballots more efficiently,” said Danielle Jensen, Douglas County Election Commissioner. “We appreciate voters using the card and returning it to a ballot drop box when possible.”

Voters who do not receive an early voting application postcard may request a mail ballot by submitting a request in writing, with their signature. They may also sign up for the Early Voting Request List for future elections. Details may be found on this website or by calling 402 444-8683. Ballot applications may not be accepted via telephone.
