A handful of power outages is impacting OPPD and MidAmerican Energy customers early Monday morning
Dozens of customers are without power early Monday morning after strong storms hit parts of Nebraska and Iowa. There was no widespread damage, but there was a report of a power line down near Walnut Hill Park, on North 38th Street in Omaha. As of 6:30 a.m., according to OPPD’s outage map, only 9 customers were in the dark. At its peak, OPPD reported more than 1,400 customers had lost power. MidAmerican Energy reports 58 customers without power. In rural Avoca, Iowa, Adam Long caught hail falling in the storm.
