Dyersville adds restaurant, youth complex to ‘Field of Dreams’ site in Iowa
DYERSVILLE, Iowa —
The city of Dyersville is set to host its first baseball game in four years.
The original “Field of Dreams” movie site still anchors the property, but a permanent ballpark and restaurant have since been added.

Construction on a youth sports complex is also underway.
“We can’t wait for that. We’re going to have the turf infields, grass outfields, and just a beautiful complex. This allows us to really take what we’re doing from a tournament standpoint with baseball, softball, and senior baseball and really enhance that even more,” said Keith Rahe, Dyersville Events.
The Philadelphia Phillies and the Minnesota Twins will revive the “Field of Dreams” series on Thursday.
The movie site hosted more than 600 youth baseball teams last year.
