A Nebraska state trooper killed in the line of duty was honored during a candlelight vigil in Washington, D.C.

Trooper Kyle McAcy, who died in a crash involving a snowplow on Interstate 80 in 2025, was one of two law enforcement agents recognized at the national event.

The names of the fallen were read aloud during the ceremony.

McAcy’s name will be engraved on the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.
