The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced more than $400 million to help in recovery from past disasters in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. That can include debris removal, emergency protective measures and the repair or replacement of public infrastructure. Some FEMA projects recently approved include $318,000 to the Omaha Airport Authority for building exterior, building interior, exterior site repair or replacement. In Iowa, $12.8 million was approved to go to the University of Iowa for emergency measures to support healthcare facilities and prevent the spread of COVID.
