Fireworks shoot into garage, spark flames at west Omaha home, investigators say

OMAHA, Neb. —

Fireworks caused flames at a home in west Omaha on Thursday night, officials said.

Investigators said they were called to a home near 129th Avenue and Morrison Drive just before 10 p.m.

When they arrived, they saw smoke and flames, authorities said. They were able to get extinguish the fire in minutes.

Investigators spoke to the homeowner who told them they were shooting off fireworks near the street when it tipped over and shot into the garage.
