Nebraska Task Force-1 returns home after flood response mission in Texas
LINCOLN, Neb. —
Nebraska Task Force 1 (NE-TF1) is heading home this week after a 12-day deployment in Live Oak County, Texas.
Over the course of deployment, NE TF-1 went door-to-door to more than 100 homes, delivering personalized floor-risk information and evacuation plans.

“Every map we built, every household we visited, every bridge we checked was handed straight to the people who live here and the officials who answer to them. That’s the job, and that’s the kind of partner Nebraska wants to be for any state that needs us,” Ashley Engler, NE TF-1 leader, says.
The members are expected to be back in Nebraska tomorrow.
