From parking to tailgating, what you need to know before heading to College World Series

As the College World Series approaches, here’s what you need to know before heading to the stadium.

Reserved tickets for the CWS are on sale now. Fans can purchase single-game, reserved tickets here.

Traffic routes to the stadium

The Nebraska Department of Traffic has recommended routes to the stadium for fans.

  • For drivers arriving on Interstate 80 from the west: Take I-80) eastbound to I-480 northbound, exit on Leavenworth Street (Exit 1B) then use city streets to navigate to parking options.
  • For drivers arriving in Omaha from the east: Travel I-80 westbound and exit on 13th Street (Exit 454), then use city streets to navigate to parking options.

Parking

There are about 4,000 on-street parking stalls available in the downtown area. The ones closer to the stadium will have higher event rates, but the rest will have their regular rates.

Public transportation

The ORBT line takes visitors from the Westroads Mall to downtown. It runs approximately every 10 minutes for most of the day, and it is $1.25 per ride.

Lime Scooters are available 24 hours a day, and they can be dropped off at the scooter corral at 14th and Mike Fahey streets.

Heartland Bike Share allows visitors to rent bicycles. There will be a bike corral for the bikes on Mike Fahey Street between 14th and 15th streets.

Clear bag policy

Clear, uncolored plastic tote bags or a gallon plastic freezer bag will be allowed.

Clutches or purses that are 4.5 inches tall by 6.5 inches long will be allowed after a security check.

Cash-free stadium

Charles Schwab Field accepts all mobile payments, credit, and debit cards at the box office, concession stands, merchandise stands, and at the bars.

There are several cash-2-card machines in the stadium that are like a reverse ATM.

There are no fees for using the machines.

Tailgating

  • No alcohol or open containers
  • Parking is first come first serve
  • Driveways must remain clear
  • Overnight parking is not allowed
  • Trash containers and charcoal dump sites will be provided
  • No selling items of any kind
  • No grills can be left unattended

ADA information

Accessible parking is on a first come, first serve basis.

Guest drop-off and pick-up is along 12th and Mike Fahey streets near Gate #2

Elevators are located outside of Gate #2 and also in the suite/club entrance along 13th Street.

Service animals are welcome, but the animal cannot sit in the aisle.

Those with service animals must notify ticket seller to find accommodations.

Wheelchair escorts are available upon request. They work on a first come, first serve basis.
