Goats seen on video boarding a city bus in Oregon

It started with a couple of kids trying to board a bus.

There’s no punchline here: Two goats were recently captured on surveillance video in Portland, Oregon, briefly boarding a city bus before hopping back off.

The incident happened on Tuesday during the morning commute, Oregon Live reported.

TriMet, Portland’s city bus company, posted about the predicament involving two pygmy goats. People made 911 calls to the area about the wandering goats.

In the video, the pair can be seen stepping onto the bus during a stop. The bus remains stopped as a woman inside stands up and seems to attempt to shoo them away.

“The operator spotted them and reopened the doors. The goats wandered back toward the shopping center near the northeast corner of the intersection, where they disappeared from our cameras,” according to TriMet.

“Portland Police checked the area, but we don’t know if the goats were ever located. There were also no additional calls about loose goats later that day,” TriMet added.

It was unclear what happened to the goats or who they belonged to, but no additional 911 calls came through after the sighting.
