Golf event acknowledges Omaha officers out of uniform
OMAHA, Neb. —
The third Annual Cuffs Classic Golf Event was in full swing on Thursday.
The free event for local law enforcement and corrections officers had a terrific turnout this morning.

Omaha’s chief of police, Todd Schmaderer, came out swinging to celebrate all the hard work his department does.
The tournament was put on by Jones Automotive and Encartele.
In 2025, they raised close to $9,000 for the First Responder’s Foundation’s Javelin Program.
“It’s an appreciation event. So, this is really for them to come out and have a day not in uniform where they can just have a good time,” said Dylan Craig, a sales manager for Jones Automotive.
Organizers said the tournament is also an excellent networking opportunity, because advice and great stories are swapped on the green.
