Gov. Jim Pillen declares state of emergency for wildfire in Crawford
CRAWFORD, Neb. —
A new wildfire has burned more than 30 acres in Nebraska’s panhandle.
Gov. Jim Pillen declared an emergency for the Corkscrew Road Fire currently burning in Sioux County on Tuesday.

Two other fires have been fought around Crawford in the past couple of months.
This fire was started by lightning, but high winds and low humidity have made it difficult to fight.
