LINCOLN, Neb. —

Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen signed a bill aimed at bolstering security across the state.

The measure looks to stop foreign threats and biological risks, especially when it comes to agriculture, energy grids, and critical infrastructure.

“LB1096 is a crystal-clear message for all Nebraskans and a giant crystal-clear message to the world that we are not going to do business with people from foreign adversaries who want to do us harm,” Pillen said.

Pillen also said the bill is a major win for safety, sovereignty and for the state of Nebraska.
