‘Battle on the Bricks’: Gretna Days heats up as athletes from local youth wrestling club take to the mat
GRETNA, Neb. —
For the second year in a row, a unique event returned to Gretna Days.
The Gretna Youth Wrestling Club hosted the “Battle on the Bricks: Mayhem on McKenna,” which is a free outdoor wrestling event.

Starting with one mat on a baseball field in 2025, the event elevated to two mats with many more boys and girls wrestlers.
Kindergarteners to high school seniors, state qualifiers, state medalists, and national title contenders were all in action.
