Habitat for Humanity and Lowe’s join forces, aim to bring the community together

OMAHA, Neb. —

Habitat for Humanity and Lowe’s collaborated to host events across the country, including one in Omaha, to bring communities together through interactive activities.

Volunteers at the event had the opportunity to assemble build-a-house kits for kids and construct sawhorses for adults. Participants were also treated to food trucks and balloon artists.

“The rewarding and seeing the projects that are done and being able to see the people that have benefited from that, not only the people in the homes, but your guys’ employees and putting those relationships. And it’s really something special,” Kristina Sandoval said.

This year marks Habitat for Humanity’s 50th anniversary, during which the organization has helped over 3 million people across the nation.
