Heartbreaking video shows dog chasing car after being abandoned; Ohio woman charged

LORAIN, Ohio —
A dog that police say was abandoned in Ohio has been found safe, with a woman facing misdemeanor charges.
The Lorain Police Department shared a video on Monday, which appeared to show the dog left behind in Lorain, Ohio, near Cleveland.

The dog, a male Shepherd mix, can be seen chasing after the car before it sped off.
In an update on Tuesday, police said the dog, named Leno, was found safe and taken to the Lorain County Dog Kennel for care.
Police said the community helped share information and bring attention to the case, ensuring Leno could get to a safe place.
Police also said a woman, who wasn’t identified, is charged with abandoning animals, among three misdemeanors.
