Nebraska running back Mekhi Nelson arrested Monday in Florida
KEY WEST, Fla. —
Nebraska running back Mekhi Nelson was arrested on Monday in Florida, KETV has confirmed.
Nelson faces a charge of aggravated battery, according to jail records. He was taken to a nearby jail around 11 a.m., according to On3.

He was taken into custody at Blue Flamingo Resort in Key West, according to jail records.
According to the police report, the victim told officers that the altercation stemmed from an argument involving how long it was taking her to get ready for the day.
Nelson scratched the victim, causing visible injuries, according to the report.
Investigators said the victim told officers that she is 7 months pregnant.
According to the police report, the victim also advised officers that Nelson has been physical with her in the past.
Nelson has 147 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries in 12 games last season.
In a statement, Nebraska Athletics said the athletic department and the football program are aware of Nelson’s arrest and has no further comment at this time.
