‘I want to be a legend in the Big East’: Oswin Erhunmwunse on joining Creighton
OMAHA, Neb. —
In 2025, presence in the paint was a struggle for Creighton basketball, but the Jays may have found their answers within the Big East Conference.
Oswin Erhunmwunse joins the Bluejays after two years with Providence.

He was recruited by Creighton out of high school, and CU secured him the second time around in April.
The Nigerian native averaged 6.8 points per game in 2025, and he led the Friars in rebounding and blocks.
Culture and fitting into the system are what sold him on Creighton as well as wanting to stay in the Big East.
The 6-foot-10 forward said he feels he can be the next great rim protector.
“I just want to be a legend in the Big East. So I decided to, you know, if I was leaving, Creighton just fit the boxes,” he said. “I’m already used to the system for two years, so this year I don’t need to adjust to the system or anything. So just, you know, keep it going.”
Head coach Alan Huss said discipline and getting in better shape will be key for Oswin in getting to that next level.
