Important information: What to know at the Nebraska State Fair

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. —

The Nebraska State Fair will make its return to the Grand Island area starting on Aug. 28 through Sept. 7.

KETV NewsWatch 7 has put together a guide for the most important events prior to the fair’s start.

Performances

The concert series will feature these acts starting on Aug. 30.

• Aug. 30 — Phil Wickham and Jamie MacDonald at the Heartland Events Center
• Aug. 30 — Home Free at TD Landing
• Aug. 31 — KC and The Sunshine Band at BigIron Events Center
• Sept. 5 — Shinedown with Dexter and the Moonrocks at TD Landing
• Sept. 6 — Hardy with McCoy Moore at TD Landing

Food

• Banana Man will serve fried Twinkies and Oreos along with fried oatmeal creme pie and loaded frozen bananas.
• Afrikan Delights will serve traditional Joloff rice bowls, plantain bowls, chicken wings, goat meat, beef, and Egusi Fufu bowls.
• Be A Tim Elephant Ears will serve fried foods like traditional Cinnamon Sugar and Maple Bacon. Unlimited refills on lemonade will also be provided.
• Cactus Jack’s Chuck Wagon will serve craft burgers, smoked meats, nachos and Phillies.
• Cheese Love Grill will serve gourmet grilled cheese, cheesesteaks and gourmet fries
• Dippin Dots will serve ice cream, sherbet and frozen yogurt
• Kings Funnel Cakes will serve funnel cakes with special toppings. Other deep-fried options also include peaches, cookie dough and cherry pie.
• Leon Food Truck will serve authentic street tacos, quesadillas and specialty dishes
• Papa John’s/Parthenon will serve Greek salads, gyros, Greek pastries, and spanakopita.
• Rodney and Lisa LTD LLC will serve cotton candy, apples, popcorn, snow cones, slushies and nachos.

• Midwest Dairy will show how its products are on display.
• Felt Fantasies will offer felt boards, travel bags, and gift sets.
• Knights of Columbus will host a bingo competition against family and friends.
• Home Innovations Spas will be showing off home spas and saunas.
• Leather 4 You will be selling men’s wallets, women’s purses, belts, and more.
• Nature Hill will offer different skin and beauty products.
• Paparazzi Accessories will be selling jewelry for the whole family as well as hair accessories.
• Rustic Ridge will sell metal décor, women’s t-shirts, hats, and more.
• Wild Bob’s Old Time Portraits will offer portraits, frames, keychains, and more.
