From the TV screen to feature films, Hayden Panettiere grew up on screen and left behind memorable performances. And she often spoke candidly about fame and some of her biggest roles.

Days before her 37th birthday, Panettiere was pronounced dead on Sunday afternoon after she was found unresponsive at an apartment complex in Greenville, South Carolina. A South Carolina coroner’s office on Monday also released information about her death.

In recent years and decades, Panettiere was recognized for her roles in shows and movies like “Scream 4,” “Scream IV,” “Heroes,” and “Nashville,” but she began her career with roles in soap operas and commercials when she was a young child. Thr0ugh her teen years and throughout adulthood, she appeared in a number of high-profile and beloved films and TV shows.

Panettiere talks “A Bug’s Life”

In this 1998 clip from CNN’s archives, a 9-year-old Panettiere talks on the red carpet at the opening of Disney Pixar’s “A Bug’s Life.”

Panettiere voiced Princess Dot, an ant, in the film.

A young Panettiere on “Remember the Titans”

Panettiere talked to CNN in 2000 about how much she enjoyed her role of Sheryl Yoast in “Remember the Titans,” what it was like to work alongside actors Denzel Washington and Will Patton, and what schooling was like while she was making the film.

Panettiere reflects on playing Amanda Knox

In 2011, Panettiere talked to CNN about getting and preparing for the role of Amanda Knox in the made-for-TV crime movie “Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy.”

In the film, Panettiere portrayed Knox, a real-life woman who was convicted of killing her British roommate in 2007 while studying abroad in Italy. The real-life Knox was exonerated in 2011.
