“Community members have stepped up. We have people that are serving on committees that have done a fantastic job for us, and we just have locals that are opening up their houses and their yards to allow these people to be there. It’s become a huge community effort to get this taken care of,” a RAGBRAI organizer said.
The town of about 3,000 has spent months preparing for the event. Volunteer residents have opened their homes in order to welcome riders from all 50 states and 40 countries.
