Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird announced that the state has restored its Protective Order Notification System, which helps victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse track orders against their abusers. “Knowledge is power,” said Attorney General Brenna Bird in a news release. “Through the IowaVINE Protective Order Notification system, victims can be armed with information on the status of a protective order against their abuser.”Bird said the system, which was shut down in 2019 due to technical issues, has now been updated and relaunched through the Iowa Victim Information and Notification Everyday (IowaVINE).
