Omaha weather: Isolated storms possible Saturday, heating up Sunday

OMAHA, Neb. —

Temperatures and humidity will rise for the end of the week and weekend, along with chances for storms. With plenty of events going on this weekend, Omaha’s Weather Leader is here to help you plan ahead.

Saturday storm chances

Though forecast models aren’t in total agreement, there is a chance for isolated storms Saturday.

As of Saturday morning, the Storm Prediction Center has placed all of eastern Nebraska, western Iowa and northwestern Missouri in a marginal risk for isolated severe activity Saturday. Any stronger storms that develop could produce 60 miles per hour wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Saturday night, additional storms could develop mainly in Iowa. Some could produce hail and wind as well.

Sunday heat

With a warm front lifting through the area, temperatures are expected to climb into the low to mid 90s Sunday with feels like temperatures in the triple digits.
