Judge sets bond for former Husker wrestler charged with domestic assault and strangulation of a pregnant woman
LANCASTER COUNTY, Neb. —
Former Nebraska wrestler Albert “A.J.” Ferrari appeared in court on Wednesday.
He was arrested in Bennington on an outstanding warrant out of Lancaster County.

Ferrari is facing charges of assault by strangulation of a pregnant woman and domestic assault of a pregnant woman.
According to an arrest affidavit, Ferrari and the woman allegedly got into an argument that escalated. The affidavit alleged he dragged the woman, got on top of her, and strangled her.

His attorney argued that he was on his way to Lincoln when he was detained by Douglas County deputies.
The attorney also claimed since both he and the victim reside in two different states outside of Nebraska that there is no danger to the victim. The attorney also argued that Ferrari is not a flight risk.
The judge set his bond for 10% of $200,000 after deeming he was a flight risk.
Ferrari is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 13 at 10 a.m.
