The Clown Class of 1981 held its commencement in a Council Bluffs mall.The class was a fully accredited course offered by Iowa Western Community College, and in 1981, there were 17 people who were willing to do what it took to become a clown. The course was taught by a master clown, who showed the students the proper technique to do their makeup and how to roll with the punches if your balloon pops while tying it into an intricate animal.
