Lancaster County crash leaves two dead, several hurt; Lincoln man faces charges
Investigators said 20-year-old Jaziah Brown of Lincoln was under the influence of marijuana when the May 25 crash happened, and he now faces manslaughter and DUI charges.
LINCOLN, Neb. —
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office arrested and cited a 20-year-old Lincoln man Monday in connection with a fatal May 25 crash.
The crash happened around 7:15 p.m. at NW 84th Street and West O Street.

Investigators say Jaziah Brown, the driver of a Ford Focus, was under the influence of marijuana when the crash happened.
Officials say the Ford Focus was southbound on NW 84th Street when it failed to stop at the intersection and hit an eastbound Nissan Kicks.

Eight people were taken to area hospitals, and two later died from their injuries, including 62-year-old Gay Wah of Lincoln, who was riding in the Nissan Kicks.
Brown was cited for two counts of manslaughter and one count of DUI causing serious bodily injury. The crash remains under investigation.
