Sarpy County man sentenced for child pornography possession
An 84-year-old man convicted on a child pornography charge was sentenced on Tuesday morning.
OMAHA, Neb. —
An 84-year-old man convicted on a child pornography charge was sentenced on Tuesday morning.
James Lewin was ordered to serve 36 months of probation, plus a term of 76 days in jail.

According to an arrest affidavit, a probation officer found a nude image of a child between the ages of 5 and 10 years old on Lewin’s computer. The affidavit states the probation officer also found “how to hide an image” in Lewin’s search history.
Lewin allegedly told Bellevue police that he did not know how the image was saved on his computer, unless someone had sent it to him in a chat. He also told police he did not know how to hide anything when asked about his search history.

Court records show Lewin began two years of probation in May 2025 for a disturbing the peace conviction.
