OMAHA, Neb. —

Omaha police said a 54-year-old man was critically injured after being hit while crossing the street on Tuesday.

The crash occurred near 31st Street and Ames Avenue around 11 a.m.

Investigators said the pedestrian was crossing Ames Avenue and wasn’t in the crosswalk when he was hit.

The crash is still under investigation.
