Law enforcement joined advocates Tuesday in recognizing Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Lincoln Police says the murder rate for women who live on reservation land is ten times higher than the national average. The department joined the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska’s Domestic Violence Program at the Durham Museum in Omaha for a training workshop.
