Lincoln surgeon accused of sexual harassment faces disciplinary action
LINCOLN, Neb. —
A Lincoln surgeon faces disciplinary action after being accused of sexual harassment.
Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers filed the petition for disciplinary action against Steven Shannon, a physician and orthopedic surgeon in Lincoln.

In the petition, it was alleged that Shannon created a “hostile and problematic work environment,” made inappropriate sexual comments and actions toward co-workers, and engaged in a sexual relationship with a staff member.
The matter will be heard by the state’s chief medical officer.
