LINCOLN, Neb. —

The Nebraska men’s basketball team held its second media availability of the summer on Monday morning at the Hawks Championship Center.

And with it, the Huskers’ roster has grown closer together.

“Every one of our players are spending a lot of time with each other off the court every weekend. We’ve done a lot of team activities with them, and they’ve been a really fun group to be around,” Nebraska coach Fred Hoiberg said.

Establishing on-the-court progress has been tougher. Nebraska’s offense and defense have both had their moments during practice, with no particular player standing out.

Forward Braden Frager said he is seeking to make a larger impact for the Huskers this season. He earned Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year honors as a freshman.

“I want to get to where I want to go and be as successful as I can be playing this game. I feel like my offensive talents will take me to some places. But I can also go even further with my defensive talents. Just playing both ends of the ball will push me to get out there,” Frager said.

“We have shooters all around us, which makes it extremely difficult to guard. Pryce (Sandfort), Braden (Frager) me, Boden (Kapke) know how to emphasize space within our offense,” forward Sam Orme said.
