Nebraska football picked 11th in Big Ten preseason poll ahead of Matt Rhule’s fourth season

OMAHA, Neb. —

Nebraska football was picked to finish in the back half of the Big Ten in the annual preseason poll from Cleveland.com.

The Huskers received 246 points, ranking 11th ahead of Matt Rhule’s fourth season.

Ohio State was picked as the favorite in the annual poll for the 10th time since 2011. The Buckeyes received 15 first-place votes, followed by Oregon with 11 and Indiana with 5.

The Hawkeyes received 361 points, ranking No. 8 in the preseason poll.

Rhule will be joined by center Justin Evans, tight end Luke Lindenmeyer and cornerback Andrew Marshall on Thursday at Big Ten Media Days in Chicago.
