Nebraska leaders discussed the operation Tuesday morning at the Dr. Edwin G. & Dorothy Balbach Davis Global Center in Omaha.
“These were a long 42 days, and we’re so proud of the fact that when called and asked to rise to the occasion, we were able to rapidly step forward,” said Dr. Jeffrey P. Gold, president of the University of Nebraska system.
“No matter what the risk is, Nebraskans run to it, not away from it,” Governor Jim Pillen said.
He said the state and its partners worked together quickly to respond to the outbreak and protect public health.
