Nebraska Raptor Center works to save birds on endangered species list in 1996
OMAHA, Neb. —
The Nebraska Raptor Center detailed its efforts to save birds on the endangered species list in 1996.
This included a falcon named Chevy, who was found injured at Beardmore Chevrolet in Omaha.

“And as a result of about 15 years’ worth of effort and captive breeding and releasing peregrines, we’re finally seeing them getting back up to the point where, hopefully in the next few years, they’ll be taken off the indigenous endangered species list, “said a Raptor Recovery worker.
