Nebraska State Penitentiary changes policy for Native American religious practices
LINCOLN, Neb. —
Nebraska prison officials are changing their policies after settling a lawsuit over Native American religious practices.
The case challenged a ban on ceremonies at the Nebraska State Penitentiary.

That ban was lifted in April. Now, new rules require more oversight before religious services can be restricted in the future.
