Nebraska volleyball grabs No. 1 in AVCA preseason poll, Creighton lands in top 15
OMAHA, Neb. —
Nebraska earned the top-ranking in the AVCA preseason poll, while Creighton will start the season in the top 15.
The Huskers received 57 first-place votes, ahead of No. 2 Texas, No. 3 Kentucky, No. 4 Pittsburgh and No. 5 Stanford.

Nebraska has been ranked at No. 1 in the AVCA coach poll 124 times, the most of any program in the nation. NU has also been ranked No. 1 in the preseason poll in three of the past five years, including 2025 and 2022.
Creighton’s ranking marks the 10th time in the past 11 seasons that the Jays have been ranked in the preseason poll.

The Bluejays return three starters from last year’s team, which finished 28-6 and won a 12th straight Big East regular-season title.
