Nebraska women’s flag football details 2027 start date
LINCOLN, Neb. —
Nebraska women’s flag football will kick off its inaugural season next spring.
That’s a year earlier than originally planned.

The program is led by head coach Liz Sowers and her twin sister Katie, who’s the assistant.
She said they’re excited about the roster they’ve built and cannot wait for fans to see the team.
The Huskers will play at Barbara-Hibner Stadium, just north of the Devaney Center.
The schedule will be announced this fall.
While the season begins next spring, the first national championship won’t be until 2028.
