The Boys and Girls Club of The Midlands holds ribbon cutting for new playground in Iowa
CARTER LAKE, Iowa —
The Boys and Girl’s Clubs of the Midlands holds a ribbon cutting for a new playground today at the Lakin Foundation Carter Lake Boys and Girls Club.
The playground was made possible through the generosity of Etheleen Hoovestol.

It will be called Eithie’s Playground.
“She has always looked beyond the surface to see where she can make a meaningful difference and she understood that every child needs a safe and welcoming place to play and grow,” Hanna Heit, Hoovestol’s granddaughter, says.
The Boys and Girls Club says Ethie’s playground represents a significant investment in the Carter Lake campus, providing beautiful new spaces for the young people they serve.
