Omaha celebrates Health Worker Appreciation Week
OMAHA, Neb. —
This week is a good time to show some love to your healthcare workers.
The city of Omaha will celebrate Health Worker Appreciation Week.

The mayor’s office announced that the workers will be recognized for their impact in the community from Aug. 24 to Aug. 28.
A public event was held on Monday morning, celebrating the official proclamation.
“The work that health workers do is also work in our communities,” said Steve Jackson with the Nebraska Community Health Organization.
Community Health Worker Appreciation Week is supported by Omaha Pathways Community Hub, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska, A Mother’s Love, and the Douglas County Health Department.
