Omaha man charged in deadly Benson shooting takes plea deal
OMAHA, Neb. —
The 19-year-old charged in a deadly shooting took a plea deal.
Kashmiere Burse was convicted of second-degree murder and a gun charge for the shooting that killed Darren Greer, 18, in December 2025.

According to court documents, Burse told investigators he was planning to purchase vape cartridges from Greer.
Another suspect in the case, 19-year-old Barry Burrus, pleaded guilty to conspiracy in early July.

Burse is set to be sentenced on Oct. 15.
