OMAHA, Neb. —

The suspect accused of stabbing a man to death last February was sentenced Monday afternoon.

Nathan Dudley, 40, was sentenced to 43 to 50 years on charges of manslaughter and use of a weapon to commit a felony. Dudley previously took a plea deal in June, downgrading a charge of second-degree murder.

The incident happened last February near the Apple Creek apartment complex just off 140th Street and West Center Road.

Officers responded to the scene and found the victim, identified as 34-year-old Milan Jones, down, Omaha police said. Jones was taken to the hospital with CPR in progress and was later declared dead.
