Omaha police arrested a man Monday afternoon after a theft at a Dollar General escalated into a robbery near 56th and Ames Avenue.

Officers were called to the store around 4:30 p.m. Police said the man stole merchandise, then pulled a knife on several employees when they confronted him.

Police arrested 44-year-old Lorenzo Minor. He was booked on suspicion of robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony and possession of drug paraphernalia.
