Omaha Police Officer’s Association helps students pick out back-to-school outfits, school supplies
OMAHA, Neb. —
While some students are already in class, the Omaha Police Officer’s Association is helping others get ready for the first day of school.
Officers made sure the kids had the right supplies on Wednesday or had the right outfit to show their friends.

Each kid had around $200 to spend.
“We give them that opportunity to start the year off right coming out of summer. We gave them that leg up and an opportunity to come to school feeling fresh,” said Patrick Dempsey, president of the Omaha Police Officer’s Association.
Multiple school districts are preparing to go back next week, including Omaha Public Schools.
